Muhammad Zhafri Bin Azman
President
I am Zhafri, a final year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Social Science.
My interest in sustainable finance was piqued by a recent internship I did where I got to work directly with clients and partners involved in the field. Such exposure alerted me to the power that the financial sector has in saving our environment, with more needing to be done urgently.
SMU Impact Investing strives to accelerate this movement and prepare the next generation with the skills and knowledge to lead it. it is my honour to serve as its President.
Timothy Lee

I am Timothy, a penultimate year student pursuing a Bachelors in Accounting and Business, with a second major in Finance.
I have always been drawn towards understanding the flow of capital and its irreplacable role in driving economic progress. Impact Investing is a powerful solution that allows one to invest for good and contribute towards a better world for future generations. I’m a firm believer of empowering the masses and strongly align with its purpose.
ESG issues are playing an increasing role in companies’ decisions and are becoming top of mind for investors. The constant evolution and the search for standardization within the industry makes it an exciting space to be in and I am excited to help the club navigate through ambiguity as the Vice President.

I am Charmaine, a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor in Business Management with a major in Finance.
I believe that capital can be unleashed to not only achieve financial returns but to deliver an impact on the environment and the society we live in. Through impact investing, we can be agents of social change. Because how we invest defines the world we want to live in.
As the investment director, I seek to deepen the understanding of Impact Investing within the community.

I am Nickki, a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor in Business Management, majoring in finance.
I believe in investing in a way that can improve the standards of living of people in rural areas. Blending profit and social causes is the way to go today as there are so many areas that require our help. In the gargantuan world of sustainable finance, there is something for everyone to be passionate about and contribute to.
As the investment director, I hope to gain more knowledge in the huge field of sustainable finance and additionally share the knowledge I have with like-minded people!

Rakshit Bidani
I am Rakshit Bidani, a Year 3 student pursuing a Bachelors in Marketing Analytics.
My interest has always been to empower the greater population, of which I believe the merger of Governments, Organizations and Financial Institutions is key. Subsequently, with the recent explosion in the interest towards Sustainable Finance, the world is moving towards that need to be both financially and ESG resilient going forward.
SMU Impact Investing aims to be present in such a domain, empowering likeminded individuals with the tools to enter the rising industry. I am greateful to be a part of it, contributing via research!

Isha Agrawal
I am Isha, a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management, majoring in finance.
I was first influenced by the idea of Impact Investing when I read views of previous exco and President. This is a very unique way to delve into the world of investments by making a social impact too.
I always wanted to search for a way, wherein I could apply my financial knowledge and also do something for social causes. SMU Impact Investing gives me the platform to do both the things simultaneously by the idea of sustainable finance. With my fascination in this field and marketing, as a marketing director, I look forward to informing more people about sustainable finance as well as learn together with them!

Goh Sher Min
I am Sher Min, a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor in Business Management.
Taking the Climate Change module made me realised the possible ways consumers like us can choose to place our capital with companies who pursue sustainable business procedures. Recently, gaining more interest in investing, I found Impact Investing a great place to start learning more about sustainable finance!
As the Marketing and Events Director, I hope to spread the mission and vision of Impact Investing to the rest of the SMU student body. I am excited to learn more from the team as we work together in the upcoming year!

Seeing the positive impacts that sustainable finance has had in various parts of the world has allowed me to develop a keen interest in this field.
